Deep Plan....

My plan for next week is to draw background characters for the yellow submarine scene and draw 60's outfits. As a group we will have a more developed storyboard and rough animatic. From feedback this week the tutors were pleased with what we have done and liked my gangster characters so i will develop them further and reference more the yellow submarine animation.

Pre ideas....

One suggestion i was thinking of having two characters one really small and the other really big. They both find themselves the only two left in the mountains or so they thought..... A light spec appears that is evil makes the two characters do things they dont wanna do, like the spec tricks them to have something happen to them.

Another suggestion i was thinking of having a character who gets starts off normal size but then suddenly gets smaller. I was thinking of having a documentary feel to it, seeing the character trying to cope to the change of being smaller than everyone else around him.

My main topic is going to focus on racial stereotypes in animated sitcoms. First of all we have to write a literature analysis based on two articles relating on the chosen topic. So i have been brainstorming ideas and looking through articles to find the best one.

Deep concepts for Yellow Sub

These concepts are part of the yellow submarine scene in the Deep project. These concepts are of the door opening in the sky with a psychedelic style and the alley done in a retro 60's style.
For next week i am going to design more concepts and backgrounds and crazy background/objects.

Colouring on 3rd year project

This screenshot is my colouring work I did for the 'Boer' for a 3rd year project. I used their colour palette they gave me and used that as reference to colour the character in Photoshop. In the animation this character is the wife in the story. Overall I am pleased with what I have done and glad that Alex was pleased with it as well.

These are my drawings of hands and feet. I used my hand as reference to get more accurate drawing. First of all I sketched out the drawings in pencil first then I used a black fineliner pen to add detail and tone to the drawings.
