Pre Project more character designs and concepts

These character designs are of the Mum and Dad showing you the rough drawings using pencil then fine liner. Then doing coloured versions in Photoshop using the tools and effects provided. Also the first you can see i did a background of the drawing of Eliza in England. Using dull colours to show England is the place she hates.  

Pre Project Work

These are concepts for our bird project experimenting with different techniques using different art materials like digital painting, pencil, oil pastels, watercolours. This is to get an idea on style to see what looks best. 

Deep update

This week ive been colouring the perseus character for shot 1 in flash. Following the colour reference from the photoshop image that Andrea did. I have also been finishing off the walk cycle for George Harrison character for the abbey road sequence.

Deep shots in process so far....

These shots are scenes 1, 3 and 8 in the yellow submarine for Deep project. The first scene is perseus stepping out of the door in the sky. The third scene is perseus is going passed the cafe. Finally the 8th scene is a walk cycle of George Harrison walking along abbey road.

Crew showreel

This is all my crew jobs being put together in Premiere pro as a show reel of my work. This show reel includes two animation shots done in a cut-out style in ToonBoom. As well as using flash to colour a character thinking about shadows and light. 

Crew Assignment: 3rd yr projects

For crew project we all had to work with the 3rd yrs on their projects. The projects i worked on was 'The Boer,' which was Alex Beadle's project. My job was to colour a character, which was the wife in the story using the animation software Flash. As reference i used an image of the wife in photoshop that was coloured and copied the rgb of each colour so that the colours i used matched the image. I also worked on Sliver of Silver which was Dani, Dan and Lexi's project. My job to animate some shots for them for their film. The shots i animated involved the boy being scared of death and the boy talking with his mum whilst walking past the castle. The animation shots were done in Toonboom in a cut out style.

Today for our pre project i have been working on moodboards sorting out the images i found to get an idea of the style we are going for our film. I have also been drawing some concepts and started to develop one on photoshop to add colour and texture to create an effect.

Another shot for deep

This weekend i started on a different shot, this time involving a walk cycle. I am happy with the body and legs but not the head. So on Tuesday will let the rest of the group to take a look to help me with the head because i wasn't happy with what i did.

3rd yr crew Sliver of Silver

I am now also working on a 3rd yr film sliver of silver doing some animating for them in Toonboom, that is in a cut out style. I am working on the animation so far done two shots which involves a scared reaction shot and a shot showing a mother and son relationship. To begin with, his technique was new to me but as I bean animating I found the technique ok and pleased with the result.

Deep

I have now been doing in between shots for our yellow submarine scene on the flash animating software these last two weeks. The shot consists of the beginning shot of perseus coming out of the door in the sky. As well as perseus in the cafe looking around. We will be making some changes with the character as in the head and possibly the way the feet is shaped, because when I was animating I found in the process feet difficult so the shape of the feet may change if the group are not about it.
